The research priorities of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center have been determined as follows:

• Design, formulation, and evaluation (including preclinical and clinical studies) of various natural and synthetic drugs for the treatment of non-communicable diseases, particularly cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS).
• Development of technical knowledge for the formulation and industrial or semi-industrial production of existing chemical and biotechnological drugs with high added value.
• Extraction, identification, and synthesis of natural and semi-synthetic compounds, and evaluation of their biological effects.
